Changing instrument lights on the Thunderace
Lots of questions are asked about the "down and dirty" method of changing a defective lightbulb.
The Haynes manual says you need to remove the whole upper fairing!.

No need for that, I'll show you how this job is completed within 15 minutes or so.




Just start with removing the windscreen, 6 screws, the two bottom ones have the nuts welded into the fairing, so don't worry about losing them inside the guts of the bike.
























Remove the 4 screws holding the front of the inner fairing.---->

Now there's plenty of flexibility to flip up the inner fairing, including instruments.

Changing the bulbs is done in seconds now.
